Singer Sonu Nigam has made a name for himself in the entertainment and music industry with his soulful voice. Having voiced many songs in multiple languages, he is one of the most popular Indian singers. On Monday evening, he was spotted out and about the city going to meet a few of his friends. However, upon reaching the venue, a car narrowly missed hitting him as he was crossing the road.

In a video shared by the paparazzo Viral Bhayani on Instagram, dressed in a black shirt and trousers, Nigam is seen walking on the streets of Mumbai along with his bodyguard. As he tries to cross and reach the venue, a car starts moving even though he is right in front of it. While the car doesn’t hit him as the singer quickly sidesteps, he is left shocked and in disbelief. His reaction has now gone viral on the social media platform.

I did not notice anything leave him alone.”

Earlier in the month, the 51-year-old musician had made headlines after facing backlash from the Kannada music industry and the people of Karnataka for refusing to sing a Kannada song at a concert in Bengaluru. According to him, he hadn’t refused, but wanted to follow the schedule and song list he had prepared to not disrupt the concert flow. He had expressed that the boys demanding he sing Kannada songs were threatening him, despite being way younger than him. All this led to him being accused of hurting cultural sentiments and an FIR being lodged against him in Bengaluru.
