Kim Kardashian turned heads at the LACMA Art+Film Gala.
Kim Kardashian is infamous for making bold style statements everytime she steps out, and this was evident once more at the LACMA Art+Film Gala. The reality TV star and fashion mogul drew attention in a figure-flattering custom-made white Gucci outfit. But this time, it wasn’t just the dress that grabbed all the attention. Fashionistas were taken aback by the stunning cross necklace that Princess Diana had previously wore.
Kim Kardashian wowed the crowd in a stunning white Gucci gown with a daring plunging neckline and a bodycon design that embraced her well toned body. She further paired it with a long cream-coloured coat, which she carried beautifully actress her arm, added to the overall charm and style.
The striking piece in her accessories was the Attallah Cross pendant, which featured a beautiful square-cut amethyst studded in the middle, which is enhanced with a circular-cut diamond around. Kim purchased one of the late princess’ favourite pieces at the Sotheby’s London Royal and Noble auction last year for about $200,000.
The gown featured a dramatic neckline that allowed her to layer neckpieces, including a big pearl choker and a smaller one below which drew attention to Diana’s cross pendant suspended from the centre. Kim Kardashian completed her stunning look with a clean hairstyle with sharp edges and fringes falling over her forehead. It not only gave her a more modern appearance, but it also enhanced her face. Her makeup was also flawless, with bronzy smokey eyes that provided dimension and drama, as well as a nude lip that highlighted her bold jewellery.
Princess Diana wore the same necklace to a charity ball in October 1987 to promote Birthright, an organisation that works to protect human rights during pregnancy and childbirth. The late queen wore the Attallah Cross with a black and burgundy Catherine Walker velvet gown. The jewellery piece continued to shine and surprise passersby with its eye-catching brilliance. Reportedly, it is considered to have been worn solely by her, and it has never been seen in public since her death. While Princess Diana kept the necklace’s string length in its original shape, Kim decided to wear it differently, layering it around her neck.
