The recent Telugu and Tamil release, Raayan has been taking Twitter by a swing. Dhanush starrer is a revenge action film that weaves emotions and action together, currently being loved by viewers.
In a recent development regarding the film, Kerala cybercrime police arrested Jeb Stephen Raj for illegally uploading the new Blockbuster, Raayan, on a website named Tamil Rockers. The man is being identified as the moderator of the website. The website is notorious for leaking films. It was further reported that the film seemed to have been filmed in a theater in Thiruvananthapuram.
The arrest came on the heels of the website’s earlier piracy of the Malayalam film ‘Guruvayurappan Ambalanadai’, which had put the Kerala police on high alert. A meticulous investigation revealed that Raj was a prolific pirate, with copies of ‘Maharaja’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ also found in his possession. He used to conceal his phone in a theater seat’s cup holder to capture the entire film.
Raayan, a star-studded action drama directed by Dhanush and featuring a stellar cast including SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, and Prakash Raj, had been a box office sensation, raking in a staggering Rs 43 crore in just three days. The film’s producers, understandably, were furious when it appeared on Tamil Rockers, prompting swift action from law enforcement. Raj’s arrest sends a strong message to digital pirates that their illegal activities will not be tolerated.
