Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were the latest guests on Koffee With Karan and the episode took an emotional turn, as the sisters spoke about the untimely demise of their mother, Sridevi. Janhvi shared the exact moment she found out about her mother’s death and recalled how it was her younger sister, Khushi, who comforted her.

Janhvi said that she rushed to Khushi’s room after she got a call about Sridevi’s passing away. She said that Khushi comforted her even though she was the younger one. Janhvi said, “When I got the call, I was in my room and I could hear wailing from Khushi’s room. I think I barged into her room, hauling and crying but what I do remember is she looked at me and the minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying. She just sat next to me and started comforting me and I’ve never seen her cry about it since.”

Khushi also shared her experience and said, “I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone because I feel like I’ve always been the strong one.” Sridevi passed away in 2018 due to accidental drowning in Dubai.

Janhvi also spoke about how Khushi and Sridevi are similar to each other and shared, “She is very quiet person and I think that is one thing she has in common with Mumma. But in front of the camera, she just explodes.”
