Actress Priyanka Chopra is currently busy promoting her film Heads Of State, which co-stars Idris Elba and John Cena. Having made a name for herself in Hollywood, the actress often makes the headlines for her hectic work schedules and family outings. Currently shooting for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming directorial, she has been busy travelling back and forth from India to New York. While she balances her work and personal life, her husband, American singer-actor Nick Jonas, is busy with his Broadway shows. Amidst it all, she has now revealed that their daughter has started going to school.

Yes, you read that right! She recently came on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her film, where she made the announcement. Talking about Malti and his experience of meeting the toddler, host Jimmy expressed how she is the “most beautiful little thing.” As he described her as “cute and curious and fun,” Chopra added, “She’s precocious. She is funny. She’s a little comedian. And she knows she’s funny, so that’s even better. But yea, she’s just such a light of our lives right now.”

The 42-year-old actress went on to share that since it is Nick’s last week at Broadway and she has been flying back and forth from India to New York, they are currently based there. Opening up about her daughter’s schooling experience, quoted by the Hindustan Times, Priyanka added, “she’s going to school here, and she has her little clique of friends, and her schedule is even crazier than mine. She has so many classes. Kids do so much!”

Not just academically, but Priyanka-Nick’s three and a half year-old is also flourishing socially. The Citadel actress revealed that Malti “wants to socialize with other babies.” She often tells her mother to text her “best friend’s mom” so she can see her friend the next day.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in Love Again (2023), co-starring Sam Heughan, which failed to create a buzz. After Heads of State, she has Citadel season 2 and The Bluff in her pipeline. In Bollywood, she has Farhan Akhtar’s much-awaited film Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. While an official announcement on the film is yet to be made by the makers, media reports state that she also has SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s upcoming project, tentatively titled SSMB29, in the works.
