Actress Priyanka Chopra is awaiting the release of her film Heads Of State, co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba. The comedy actioner will stream on Prime Video from July 2, 2025. As is busy with the promotions, she recently called out a news publication for wrongly attributing a sensational quote to her about virgin wives. In a post shared by The Brief India on Instagram, they claimed that she has said, “Don’t look for a virgin as wife. Get a woman with good manners. Virginity ends in one night but manners last forever,” during an interview.
As soon as the post went viral, she quickly took action against them by calling them out. Sharing the said post on her social media handle, she slammed them and urged her followers not to believe everything they “scroll past” on the internet. Clarifying that the quote is not hers, she shed light on how easy it has become to create “fake content” so that one can achieve “virality”.

The 42-year-old actress wrote on her Instagram stories, “This is not me, my quote or my voice. Just because it’s online, doesn’t make it true. Creating fake content is now an easy way to achieve virality. None of the links or ‘sources’ attached to this claim, or many others online, are real or credible. Take a minute to cross-check such content and don’t believe everything you scroll past. Stay safe online.”
Well, it is safe to say that the netizens reshared her Instagram story on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip with the caption, “Priyanka Chopra ig story about fake content.” Many came out to support her and urged other actors to also speak out against fake content.

One wrote, “More celebs should call this shit out. Especially Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy. I’m so fucking tired of seeing their quotes in front of “Dark” “Edgy” quotes they obviously never made.” Another wrote, “Thank god she called this out. This quote has been circling for years with her name attached to it. It seems like an obvious fake but so many people fall for such stuff everyday and it really makes you scared for how easy it is to spread misinformation.” One said, “Good that she called out but isn’t it obvious that its fake and everyone knows this already! Or she is having any movie release or what?”
