Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s grandmother and the wife of the late legendary actor Allu Ramalingaiah, Allu Kanakaratnam, left for her heavenly abode on Saturday, August 30, at 1:45 am. She breathed her last at the age of 94 at their Hyderabad residence. According to media reports, she passed away due to age-related ailments.

The Pushpa actor, who was busy shooting for his upcoming film, Atlee directorial, AA22xA6 in Mumbai, rushed to Hyderabad to attend her last rites. Videos of him being spotted at the airport have surfaced on the internet. Dressed in a white shirt, the devastated actor is seen walking with his heavy security detail.

According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Allu Kanakaratnam’s last rites will be held in the afternoon at Kokapet. All family members of Allu, as well as the Konidela family, are currently arriving at Allu Aravind’s residence to pay their last respects and mourn her passing.

RRR actor Ram Charan also cancelled his film’s shoot, which was taking place in Mysore, to rush back to Hyderabad. The media publication states that he is now en route to Mumbai to shoot a grand song for his upcoming movie, which features over 1,000 dancers.

Talking about Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming collaboration, early rumours suggested that AA22xA6 might have a two-hero plot; however, the reports were dismissed by Arjun’s team. They went on to reveal that he will be playing a dual role in the film. It was also reported that the film might star multiple actresses in important roles. With Deepika Padukone announced as the leading lady of the Atlee directorial, it will be interesting to see who else is cast in the movie. While filming has begun, the film will get its grand release in 2026.
