The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is deepening its investigation into an alleged Rs 60 crore fraud case involving Raj Kundra, the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty. Bollywood actresses Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia are now part of the probe.
According to Times Now, during questioning, Kundra told investigators that some of the disputed money was paid to Bipasha and Neha as professional fees for projects. The EOW is checking if these payments were legitimate or part of financial irregularities.

A Times Now report said that around Rs 25 crore was transferred to the accounts of Shilpa, Bipasha, Neha, and the entertainment company Balaji. The EOW is examining whether these were genuine business expenses or hidden diversions. In a recent five-hour interrogation, Kundra reportedly dodged several important questions. The EOW plans to summon him again next week, along with others connected to the financial dealings.

The case, linked to the demonetisation period, involves claims of suspicious fund transfers disguised as production and promotional expenses. Investigators have evidence of these transfers and have asked Kundra to resubmit video content from a venture called Best Deal for verification. Kundra claimed the Mumbai Crime Branch already seized the videos in a prior case. Police sources said the EOW will work with the Crime Branch to access these videos if needed.
